Closures and cancellations due to COVID-19

On May 19, the Premier’s Office announced that all publicly funded schools in Ontario will remain closed for the duration of the 2019-2020 school year, in response to COVID-19. As such, Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) schools and adult learning centres will not reopen on May 31, 2020. The decision to extend the school closure period for the remainder of the school year is based on advice from Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health in order to protect the health and safety of students, families and staff. 

The following programs/meetings will not run or are closed:
  • Permits (Community Use of Schools)
  • All EarlyON and Child Care Centres
  • Adult and continuing education
  • Dual Credit and Cooperative education programs
  • Special Education Advisory Committee (June 1, 2020)
  • Business and Facilities Standing Committee (June 3, 2020)
  • Program Standing Committee (June 10, 2020)
  • Human Resources Standing Committee (June 10, 2020)
  • First Nations Education Advisory Committee (June 11, 2020)
In addition, the Education Centre and the Career Centre are closed to the public.

Parent survey regarding Before & After School programshttp://bre.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/board-news/65Parent survey regarding Before & After School programs<div>​The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) offers Before and After School Programs (B&A) at many schools for students in Kindergarten to Grade 6 who need care before and/or after the regular school day hours.  <br><br>From January 1 – 31, 2017, the SCDSB is surveying parents at your school to identify if there is sufficient need to offer a B&A. The results of this survey will be used to project enrolment and viability of a B&A program.
